The flex of the board and weight of the rider are related to each other.

I bought this board as a carving board with loads of flex for around town and I was not disappointed! I ride the board with Bear 52's and pretty soft bushings and that gives the board a very lively feeling to it.
I still use my Demonseed for the faster stuff since the Vanguard doesn't feel too stable at high speeds (or is it me?), but I guess that's not what it was intended to do in the first place.
So if you're looking for a flexible, light board to cruise around town that has lots of flex - go for this one.
