The target was to solve the constant tradeoff between freedom of movement and real protective properties. Focus has been to optimize both fit and coverage at the same time. THE NEW VPD 2.0 offers even better shock absorption properties than the original VPD series, which gives us completely new situation when it comes to the traditional trade-off situation between flexibility and real protection. Due to the ability of transition from soft to hard when needed and the extreme shhock absorption properties, you no longer have to choose between freedom of movement and proper protection.

I was wondering if spending this much money on a pair of kneepads would be worth it. I've now used them long snowboarding days. These days were filled with freeriding and touring on a splitboard. Not once did i notice wearing them. For me these pads fit perfectly!
