The Rocket Essence captures the essentials needed to ride down a hill fast. In contrary to the other boards in the Rocket line-up, this deck does not have CNC wheel wells but has the flush mount pressed into the board. You can still pretty much stand on top of the trucks. It features a rockered profile and has a w-concave in between your feet as well as wheel flares that function as reference points for your feet. If you are looking for a compact downhill deck, then this 33.7" board is it.
