History

In 1992, Tony Hawk started a skateboard company. Originally it was known as Birdhouse Projects. The company was founded on the premise that if you love something, you support and cherish it. You bring together the best, most dedicated team of skateboarders and you do what you love... Skating. And now 24 years later, Birdhouse is still thriving with one of the best teams in the sport, based on respect, brotherhood, authenticity, and love for what they do.

The Team

Over the years, the team has had some of the most famous names in skateboarding as riders. In the beginning, Tony Hawk was leading the team, after that Jeremy Klein, Steve Berra, and Willy Santos were part of the team. They toured the world, starred in the highly successful Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Video games, and delivered some of the most iconic and memorable video parts in skate history in Birdhouse's The End and Feasters. Birdhouse will always be inseparable from Tony Hawk. He is regarded as the most famous and successful skater in the world, with twelve World Championship titles, 16 X-games podium spots, landing the first 900, and the countless number of tricks he has devised.

The brand can be seen on many well-known pros. With Aaron 'Jaws' Homoki, Ben Raybourn, David Loy, Shawn Hale, Clint Walker, Clive Dixon, Mike Davis, Lizzie Armanto, and Elliot Sloan, the Birdhouse team is one of the best and most popular skate teams. This is proven by the titles 'King of the Road' of Thrasher's Team-Battle in 2014 and 2015.
